CFE CoP: Teaching Statistics to Non-STEM Students In-Person
The CFE-supported Community of Practice (CoP) on Teaching Statistics to Non-STEM Students meets in the DRI Lab every other Wednesday. The main focus of this CoP is math and statistics anxiety among students, as addressing this challenge is an essential first step toward supporting our students’ confidence and success in courses that require statistical reasoning.
The Community of Practice will be structured to incorporate three complementary modes: informal discussions where we can reflect together on challenges and successes, short workshops focused on practical strategies, and sharing of teaching resources that participants can adapt for their own classrooms.
The faciltiator for this group is Bryan Daves (daves@american.edu).
